My research and writing explore topics including economic growth, sustainability, infrastructure, and energy transitions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>I am author of <a href=\"https:\/\/press.uchicago.edu\/ucp\/books\/book\/chicago\/I\/bo253356508.html\"><em>The Invention of Infinite Growth: How Economists Came to Believe a Dangerous Delusion<\/em><\/a> (Chicago, 2025), which explains how economists have come to assume it is possible and desirable to have ever-increasing economic growth on a finite planet.
